How it works
We are a booking platform. Teachers are independent and set their own prices. When you pay, the payment goes through Stripe: the teacher receives their share and we keep a commission, which is shown to teachers before they join.
Cancellations and refunds
- Cancel at least 24 hours before the class for a full refund (or the package lesson back).
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before, the lesson is charged (no refund, and a package lesson is used).
- If the teacher cancels or doesn’t attend, you get a full refund or the lesson back.
- Monthly packages renew each month until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next payment; lessons already paid for can be booked until the end of that month. Unused lessons don’t carry over.
- Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law — if a service isn’t provided with due care and skill, you can ask for a remedy.
Child safety
- Children don’t have their own accounts. A parent or guardian books, manages and can join every class.
- Teachers who teach children must hold a current Working With Children Check, which our team checks on the state register before they can be booked for a child, and again when it expires.
- All messages go between the teacher and the parent account on this site. Phone numbers, emails and outside links are hidden. Teachers must not contact children outside the platform.
- Each class has its own meeting (Google Meet or our built-in classroom). The link is shown only to that family and teacher, shortly before the class. Teachers admit only the family’s account and must not record classes.
- Report any concern from your dashboard or to [email protected]. If a child is in immediate danger, call 000.
Teacher code of conduct
- Be on time, prepared and respectful. Keep the camera on in a quiet, appropriate setting, dressed modestly.
- Never ask a child for personal information, photos, or to keep secrets; never contact a child directly or outside this site.
- No physical, verbal or emotional punishment. Encourage — never shame.
- Tell us straight away if your Working With Children Check changes or you are charged with an offence.
- Report any safeguarding concern about a child to us, and to the police or child protection where required.
Privacy
We collect what we need to run classes: account details, children’s first names and year of birth, lesson times and progress notes, messages, and for teachers identity, Working With Children Check and tax details (needed for ATO reporting). Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by us. Documents are kept in private storage that only our team can open. You can ask for a copy of your data or for it to be deleted from your account page; payment records are kept as tax law requires.
