Halalverified is a community guide. We take care to be accurate and show the evidence behind each halal status, but ingredients, suppliers and certifications change. Always check the label and the current certificate, and ask the business if you are unsure. Our ingredient guide is general information, not a religious ruling.
Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Your contributions
When you submit a review, confirmation, photo, event or listing, you confirm that it is honest, based on your own genuine experience, and that you have the right to share it. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, edit for length and clarity, and display it on the site and our channels. We may decline or remove content that is false, offensive, defamatory, promotional, or that breaches someone’s privacy or intellectual property. Reviews written by, or paid for by, a business about itself or a competitor are not allowed.
Business owners
If you claim a listing you confirm you are authorised to manage it. You are responsible for keeping your details accurate. Changes to halal information are reviewed by our team before they appear, and we may require evidence.
Featured listings and payments
Featured placement is advertising and is always labelled. It does not change halal status, ratings or the order of normal results. Featured periods run for the number of days purchased. [Refund policy — e.g. if we remove a featured listing for reasons other than a breach of these terms, we will refund the unused portion.]
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site, attempt to access accounts or data you are not entitled to, scrape the site in bulk without permission, or submit spam or malicious content.
Intellectual property
The site design, text and our compilation of information belong to us or our licensors. Some product information and images come from Open Food Facts under the Open Database License and CC BY-SA. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on information on the site. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of doing so.
